Discover OCEANS: the digital and immersive odyssey!

An original experience that will allow you to discover the ocean depths,

as you’ve never seen them...
...before all while preserving these wonderful ecosystems.

Raising awareness among the general public regarding the respect of biodiversity and natural ecosystems lies at the heart of this underwater journey. An unprecedented installation in France, falling within the broader approach of the CAP3000.

OCEANS has effectively found its place within the first mall to have received the Biodivercity® label® (2018) promoting the conception and construction of a new typology of buildings, giving particular importance to nature in the city. A label that confirms the CAP3000’s strong commitments to biodiversity and vegetation within its projects.

In practical terms, the construction and extension works of CAP3000, located within an area of major environmental interest, classified Natura 2000 (notably owing to the nesting of many species of birdlife onsite), have taken into account the respect of the surrounding ecosystem’s balance, in partnership with the Ligue des Protection des Oiseaux (LPO).

What if you were to put yourself inside the skin of a fish? OCEANS suggests passing over to the other side of the fish bowl, thanks to 360° audiovisual projection technology from floor to ceiling.

Throughout your experience, you will dive into successive marine scenes, leading you from tropical beaches to the edge of the ocean’s depths. Playful interactions with fauna and flora will delight young and old on this odyssey in hyperrealist computer-generated images.

Accompanied by a pedagogical guide, we offer you an innovative journey that will allow you to discover a uniquely inaccessible spectacle, and to become an active part of it.

Your odyssey begins on the edge of a tropical beach. Under your feet: the sand of a beach where newly hatched green sea turtles are already answering the call of the ocean. Follow them for a few strokes in…

You move away from the shore, accompanied by the rich colours of the coral reefs and the species that inhabit them: just this once, you are allowed to tickle pufferfish and play with little fishes as they dart about under your feet!

You are now in the realm of noble sharks and majestic whales. Hear their intriguing calls and allow yourself to be sweep up in the soundscape of a world that is not as silent as it might appear.

Here you are, facing a hypnotic ballet of luminous creatures lighting up the darkest crevasses: luminescent jellyfish and phytoplankton hail your arrival within this strange and stunning world.
